It's been a while since my last post because I've been slammed with work. I've been recoding a an online discussion forum and live chat for a large international organization as well as re-working a local website for Gemini Homes. This was a neat project because the design was wonderful! It just needed to little technical loving touches. I was able to get most of the pages to validate in HTML strict as well as Web Accessibility, Section 508 government requirements, and CSS. The homes page will validate once I fix the classes in the CSS.
Why do I go to so much trouble? Because it's great for the customer to have a website that machines can read. It helps improve search engine rank, helps users with handicaps reach the site and speeds up the site overall. But mostly I go to so much trouble because I'm a professional and proud of my work even when people aren't looking. (grin)
Take a look...
